Enclosure for CO2 CNC Engraving Machine - TwoTrees

After receiving and assembling this product I can honestly say for what it is it is a decent product with good build quality and plenty of room to hold my laser engraver after the expansion kit I ordered at the same time is delivered and installed.

But it does have flaws.

Firstly the supplied screws to install the fan could have stood to be 3 or 4 mm longer both for ease of installation and so they they properly engage the nylon inserts in the nuts to prevent them vibrating loose, only time will tell how well they hold.

Second the supplied fan, although it does move the air nicely, it is excessively loud. There are much quieter fans they could have used that would not have cost them any more.

Third the opening, I was surprised to see that only the front panel opened and that the opening did not extend onto the top panel like the other enclosure they sell does, this will make it difficult to insert large pieces close to the maximum capacity of my laser engraver. Velcro is also not the best choice for closing either as it will wear out pretty quick, especially if the engraver is used often, again like the other unit they sell a cheap zipper would have not cost them anymore and would have made of a much nicer closure and allowed for a larger opening. I'm guessing this is a marketing ploy to try and get you to spend nearly twice as much on an enclosure.

Overall a decent enough product with production shortcuts that cause limitations and possibly shorten the units serviceable life.
